Tips for seniors preparing for college or the world of work:
• Plan your class schedule with your future in mind. If you already know what you’d like to do in the future, take classes pertinent to your chosen career.
• Continue to take challenging courses all the way through your senior year.
• Avoid senioritis. Work hard for your high school grades.
• Research several colleges and universities during your sophomore and junior years and think about where you would feel most comfortable.
• Continue to be involved in extracurricular activities and consider taking on leadership roles whenever possible.
• Consider participating in internships, career and technical education programs, and/or science research.
• Sign up for a SAT prep course.
• Study for your SAT and ACT exams.
• Apply for scholarships.
Most importantly—don’t count the days, make the days count!
