Dear Parents and Guardians:

Please find enclosed a letter from Mr. Robert Cook the High School Principal to the High School Students.

Next week we will begin the process of hiring a new High School Principal.  The Board of Education and I are committed to a hiring process that includes gathering input from the High School community that identifies the desirable characteristics of the new Principal.

We invite you to encourage your child to participate in one of the Student Focus Groups that will be held to gather students’ input.  The tentative dates, times and locations of the Student Focus Groups are as follows:
Wednesday, 12/12, during lunch periods in the HS Library
Monday, 12/17, after school from 2:30 – 3:30 pm, in the HS Library
Tuesday, 12/18, during lunch periods in the HS Library

We are planning on holding the Principal interviews in early January and hope to have the High School Principal in the district in February.

Please know that our guidance counselors, psychologists, teachers, administrators and other staff members from throughout the district are available if your child wants to talk.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

To my High School Students:

I hope your year is going well.  I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all of you and how proud I am of you.  I am hearing about all the wonderful things you are doing in the High School.

I wanted to let you know that I will be returning to the district at the end of June and taking on a new role in the district office.  We will start the process of hiring a High School principal.
I encourage you to participate in the focus groups, but this is voluntarily.  More information on this will be coming out soon.

I look forward to hearing about the great work you will continue to do this year.
