update We were contacted the evening of November 13, 2017 by the director of facilities for the Rondout Valley Central School District about a smoke/fire event that occurred that afternoon in the district’s high school auditorium.  They requested that we come out on the 14th to perform air quality testing in and around the auditorium.  We arrived on site just after 7:00 am this morning and monitored on the stage and in the lobby outside the auditorium for carbon monoxide (CO), total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) and five other air quality parameters.  All readings for CO were less than 1 ppm and the TVOC levels were less than outside the building.  Sampling for airborne particulate showed levels in the auditorium 2.5 times lower than outside.  The ventilation roof hatches are currently open.  Once these are shut we should re-run these tests.
