9th Grade Orientation: On Thursday, September 3rd, Rondout Valley High School will host 9th Grade Orientation at the high school from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.   

Incoming freshmen are invited to drop in during this time. The
 orientation will provide freshmen with the opportunity to access
 their lockers, learn where their classes will be held, and meet
 teachers, students, and administrators. Student peer leaders from the Newcomers Uplifted Program, a program to help 9th grade students transition to high school, will also be on hand to take freshmen and parents on a tour of the school. 

Go to to get educated about the risks of heroin and opioid abuse, the signs of addiction and available resources and treatment providers. Those seeking help for drug addiction can obtain prevention, treatment and recovery information or call the State's HOPE line at 1-877-846-7369.
